Burke House’s private tropical setting is a romantic escape set in a pristine nature preserve. Every room is a place for relaxing and taking in the spectacular views north to St.Vincent and south to The Grenadines’ other islands.
Outside, kick back in a hammock in the shade and watch exotic native birds swoop overhead, yachts leisurely sailing out to sea, snorkelers frolicking below, and schools of dolphins gliding through the clear blue Caribbean.
Solar electricity powers Burke House and its ridgetop location, airy design, and large windows and doors allow for a constant, soothing breeze to drift through the house.
The immaculate white sand beach is located a mere 5-minute walk below the property where you can swim or snorkel ‘til your heart’s content. And keep a lookout for parrot fish, sea eggs, puffer fish, damsel fish, conchs, lobsters, schools of sprats and robin fish, and a variety of beautiful coral.
Burke House is luxury laid-back living with the world’s most amazing aquarium as your front yard playground.
The master ensuite bedroom has a king-size four poster bed and daybed with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Come night time, turn off your phone, light a few candles, and listen to the sea gently lapping at the rocks below, lulling you to sleep.
The open floor plans and high arched ceilings of the living and dining rooms create a roomy yet cozy space for meals and chillout sessions. From here, or outside on the two large decks, you’ll have wonderful views that seem to go on forever. The living area has two large settees and the dining table seats four persons.
The kitchen’s northern exposure provides great views of St. Vincent and boats coming into the harbour. There is a stove, a refrigerator, a double-sink unit with solar hot water, pots, pans, cutlery, and silverware. And, succulent aromas wafting out as you or your personal cook prepares your seafood supper.
The guest ensuite bedroom is very private with a queen size bed, day bed, and window seats overlooking the tropical foliage and Caribbean Sea. The bathroom has a large storage space for clothing, supplies, etc.
Facing decks deliver delightful views of the southern Grenadines Islands and the lower bight where dive boats, yachts, and fishermen anchor. For your pleasure, there is a gas barbecue, hammock, teakwood table with four chairs and canopy, and several comfy chaise lounges.

To secure a reservation we require a 25% deposit (non-refundable). This can be paid through PayPal (which can also be used for credit card payment), or by check. The balance of payment is due sixty days (60) prior to arrival. We highly recommend travel insurance to cover the unlikely event that accident or illness prevents you from travelling.
Regarding your personal cook/housekeeper, we find that the best arrangement is to accompany her to town the day after arrival so you can acquire provisions that meet your tastes.
Alternatively, we can let her know in advance your likes and dislikes and she can do the shopping, which will be charged to your account at cost and will be at the house for your arrival. She can often get better prices from the local seafood and produce markets.
On the night of your arrival she will prepare and serve dinner (those provisions also being charged to you at cost). Your personal cook/housekeeper works seven days a week and will prepare and serve all meals. You can set her working hours, which can be changed at anytime to give you maximum privacy and service.
For your budgeting purposes, Bequia food costs are generally about 15% to 20% more than in the USA because many things are imported. One exception is seafood which is of course caught locally and daily. Nothing like fresh fish and lobster straight from the sea to your table!
